Theme: Good News of Peace For All Creation: That The World May Know Jesus Christ

We at WMEI are extremely pleased to announce and invite Methodist/Wesleyan leaders worldwide to join in our 30^th anniversary celebrations and attend “SHALOM 2012 – A HOLY LAND EVANGELISM SEMINAR in Jerusalem from January 9-17, 2012.  We invite Bishops, Presidents, Heads of Churches Regional Secretaries, Methodists/Wesleyans of member churches of the World Methodist Council to begin naming persons from their Episcopal areas to attend and to announce at in their annual conferences.    This is the next worldwide evangelism celebration following the 2011 World Methodist Conference in Durban, and we expect 300 Methodists/Wesleyans to attend.  

WORLD METHODIST 9^TH INTERNATIONAL EVANGELISM SEMINAR.   We rejoice in God that this is the 9^th time that WMEI is bringing the entire world leadership together under the umbrella of evangelism, and we invite representatives from all 78 member churches of the World Methodist Council.   World evangelists and leaders are expected to attend this 9^th International Evangelism Seminar at the Ramada Jerusalem Hotel.  Registration forms will be available on our website.   Seminar credit will be available through Emory University for seminary students and continuing education credits for pastors.  Please place this date on your conference/district/circuit/local church or personal calendars, announce across your Episcopal areas, and plan to attend yourself

HOLY LAND VISITS. The seminar will include alternating day tours to key Holy Land sites in Jerusalem, Galilee, Bethlehem, Mount of Olives, and other places.   Highlights on the tours will include lectures, worship and preaching opportunities, thematic presentations and contextual discussions at several sites. 

POST SEMINAR TOUR OPTIONS.  Four post-seminar tour options will be available as follows: Egypt and Cairo - January 17 - 21 (involves 1 Sunday); Egypt and Nile Cruise - January 17-24; Jordan - January 17-20 (involves 1 Sunday); Israel/West Bank - January 17-21, 2012.
